Best Products of 2010: Drugstore

Here is my selection of Top 10 Beauty/Beauty Related Products from the drugstore of 2010. These are really affordable, high quality products that are great if you're on a budget.
1.) L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
L'Oreal Voluminous Volume Building Mascara, Carbon Black 335, 0.26 fl
This mascara is comparable in quality and performance with high end mascaras in my opinion. I think it's a much better purchase than expensive mascaras like DiorShow or Lancome Definicils because it's just as good but a fraction of the price...about $5! Plus, since mascaras need to be tossed out every 3 months for sanitary reasons, it's truly the best bang for your buck...imagine throwing a $24 dollar tube of DiorShow away!

2.) Revlon ColorStay Makeup
Product Image Revlon ColorStay Makeup Combination / Oily Skin - Buff
Revlon is one my favorite drugstore cosmetics line. The foundation is full coverage and I barely need concealer (except under my eyes) when I use this. It's great for nights out but may be too heavy for some people during the day. Sometimes I add a little moisturizer to it to make it a little less heavy for daytime wear, while still achieving a flawless look. At around $11, this is a great buy. I wear 180 Sand Beige and when I get really pale in the winter 150 buff.

3.) L'Oreal Linuer Intense Eyeliner Carbon Black
This is such a great liquid eyeliner. It's such a rich, deep black and the applicator allows for precise lines. It lasts all day for me. I've heard it's comparable to the Lancome Art Liner (which I've never tried) but is a much more affordable option at about $8-9.

4.) E.L.F Brightening Eye Color Quad in Drama
This eyeshadow quad has 2 shimmery silver shades, a black shimmery shade, and a creamy matte white highlight color---all for only $1! I don't own a lot of silver eyeshadow but I love to wear it, especially in the winter months. It just looks so festive. I can create a silver smoky eye using only this palette, which is pretty handy. I use the light silver on the lid, the darker silver in the crease, and the black to create a "V" shape on the outer portion of my lid. The white color I use as a highlight on my brow bone and on the inner corner. The effect is a beautiful, silvery smoky eye.The shadows blend pretty easily and there is little fallout. A great buy! I want to try other elf products in the future.

5.) Cover Girl Eye Enhancers in Tapestry Taupe
This eyeshadow is a great satiny taupe color that provides a lovely natural eye with subtle shimmer. I love this for days when I don't want to wear a lot of makeup. I sweep it over the lid and buff it into the crease for a simple but pretty look.

6.) Almay Beyond Powder Eyeshadow in White Magic 03
I have had this for so long, I don't even know if they make it anymore. It is my favorite highlight ever. It is so pigmented and bendable, and is such a pure white color that it makes me look so awake and refreshed. It's not matte but has a sheen to it (no glitter though!) It's just perfect. I find myself reaching for this eyeshadow as a highlight more than any other.

7). Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
This stuff is so great. I prefer this over my Clinique and Lancome make-up removers. It's a much better price and really removes my eye makeup without leaving any filmy residue. It's a staple for me and I have gone through countless bottles of this stuff.

8.) Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Cream Cleanser
I started using this in January and need to buy my third bottle of this, I'm almost out again. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth, isn't too drying, and helps with redness I get from irritation from a prescription acne medication I use. I started using this with my Clarisonic Mia when I got it for my birthday in November and just love it. It's a perfect consistency for use with the Mia as it's a thick cream, no abrasives or scrubbies in it.

8.) Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer in Ivory to Fair 10
This tinted moisturizer is so much like Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer but for about 1/4th the price! The SPF of 20 is great for skin, and it makes skin look even and dewy. I would say that the coverage is a little more sheer than the Laura Mercier TM but I have to use concealer with both. Great stuff!
9.) Revlon Lipgloss in Peach Petal

An exact dupe for NARS Turkish Delight! A creamy, light pink gloss that's highly pigmented and glides on smoothly. This is great with a smoky eye or to tone down a lipstick that's too dark. This was a limited edition color but I think it's been made part of Revlon's permanent line.

10.) Eco Tools Brushes (Alicia Silverstone Edition)
These brushes are so amazing! The blush brush is perfect for applying brush or bronzer, and the stippling brush works nicely with blush that is too pigmented to apply with a dense brush. These brushes are superior quality and are some of my favorites in my collection.

Those are my top 10 beauty products from the drugstore in 2010! I hope you enjoyed.
